A Gastronome Experience

Satay Club (Pasir Panjang FC)

If you were from my mother’s generation, Satay Club ought to hold some special and fond memories for you. After the demolishment of the food center which once housed the well-acclaimed Satay Club stalls, the stall owners have since scattered and relocated to various places across the island. At 50 cents a stick, the price may be steep to some, but for better quality and a whole lot of nostalgia, would 50 cents a stick sound less unreasonable?

Marinated bite-sized pieces of meat on a stick/skewer. Who would have thought that eating meat from a stick could popularize from one generation to another. The idea of munching meat from a stick seems to portray a factor of novelty.

Tonight, 20 sticks of satay, comprising of chicken, mutton and tripe, were devoured within minutes. The meats were nicely marinated, they were juicy and tender and the peanut sauce, fresh and hot from the pot, played a significant role in alleviating the satay experience.

50 cents a stick, just bring it on!

I think you are referring to Kong Satay at Geylang.

Followed you from your old, old blog thru two “reincarnations”.

The design here is better but I miss the large image resolution quality of the first blog.

Hope you will re-start posting the delicious makan pics in BIG resolution. Tks.

Hi! Sorry for the lack of updates as i’ve been extremely busy lately! An update should be coming up soon! Anyway, i’m quite a noob when it comes to resolutions and stuff, could the resolutions differ due to the different usage of cameras? The pictures you see on my previous old blog were taken using a sony cybershot while the pictures you see on this blog are taken using a nikon d40. Any idea how i can reset the resolutions on my camera? haha thanks a million~
